There’s only one word to describe it. And aptly enough it’s the theme for its print advertising.
Designer Prabal Gurung’s upcoming Target line is Lookbook love at first sight. The collection drops (lol) on February 10th at Target stores and I hope online as well. Now I have never been a limited edition collection fan because I always think the offerings look like watered down versions of the original lines. So I have never thought them worthy of having to go through the drama of elbowing a bony bitch in the eye in order to get my favoured items (I have to do that enough for Carnival costumes. Not clothes too.)
But this super charming collection by super charming designer (I follow him on Instagram so it’s like we’re friends) really breaks the mold blending gorgeous prints with covetable prices (no seriously. They don’t go above $50 USD except for a turquoise leather jacket). And they will seriously cause me to be up on my laptop at an ungodly hour (I’ll be in Italy when it is released) to nervously click the following items into my cart.
P.S. even the shoes are cute. I’ve been looking for a not so expensive pair of naked shoes (read: none of the platform heavy-footedness that has been trendy for the past couple years, and which, interestingly enough, the fashion world calls single soled shoes) and this collection offers them in a heel and a cute low wedge!!
